According to which, 300,000 youth will be provided with Online Skill training in Information and Communication Technology. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s Steps for Digital Development for Youth
The Prime Minister announced that youth have a crucial role to play in the spread of technology and the digital revolution. He stressed that the government is trying to provide new IT skills to the youth so that they can take advantage of global job opportunities. The meeting also discussed the implementation of agreements signed with Huawei Technologies in China last year. Huawei Technologies experts said that under this program, 300,000 Pakistani youth will be trained online, for which a special ICT training portal will be opened.
What Skills will be Imparted to the Youth in this Prime Minister’s Program?
This program will provide 3 lakh youth with the skills detailed below:
- AI
- Cybersecurity
- Cloud computing
Other technologies will be trained so that they can create their employment opportunities.
Huawei ICT Training Program
Huawei Technologies has already trained 20,315 students, and the project is upskilling students, trainers and ICT experts. Under this scheme, Huawei-trained master trainers will train youth in new technologies at the local level. This project will not only enhance the technical skills of the youth but will also increase Pakistan’s IT exports, which will boost the country’s economy.

Launch of ICT Training Web Portal
The ICT Training Web Portal has not been launched yet, but it will be launched as soon as possible. It will be launched by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. The main objective of launching this portal is to ensure that all eligible students of Pakistan can get maximum benefit from it.
The Prime Minister’s Orders and the Scope of the Plan
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed to expedite the implementation of the IT training project and provide access to more people through the ICT training portal.
