Roll Out Education Card
Provincial Education Minister Faisal Khan Targai has recently made an important announcement. Under this announcement, the KP Government will roll out the Education Card Pilot Program in nine districts of KPK for the academic year 2025-26. This program is especially for those students who have never been to school and who are deprived of education due to various reasons or financial difficulties. Purpose of the Education Card Program

In addition, children will be selected for school admission under the Poverty Score card to ensure that only those children who are truly poor receive this financial assistance.
Selected Districts of KPK
The nine districts where the program will be launched are:
- Lower Kohistan
- Upper Kohistan
- Kolai Mahal
- Torghar
- Lower Chitral
- Upper Chitral
- Tank
- South Waziristan Upper
- South Waziristan Lower
These districts are areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where both the quality and access to education are limited, and where the issue of children’s access to schools is a major problem. Program Eligibility and Conditions

Chief Minister’s Endowment Fund
The provincial government has allocated Rs 3 billion for this program, which has been approved under the Chief Minister’s Endowment Fund. This amount will be used for the successful completion of the program and to provide financial assistance to the children involved in it. All the arrangements have been completed and the process of data collection will be started soon.
Future Expansion and Additional Facilities
The provincial minister also confirmed that after the successful pilot of this program, it will be extended to other districts of the entire province. Along with this, more facilities will be added to the education card from time to time so that students can benefit more. Describing this program as the flagship project of the provincial government, he said that this program will help in raising the educational standard of the province. So that deserving students can continue their education without facing any difficulties.
